Easter Bags for SCI Muncy

Liberty Ministries continues its mission of providing practical resources to offenders and ex-offenders through the generosity of donors and supporters. One impactful outreach is the annual Easter Bag project. This year, 1,100 Easter Bags were distributed to women at SCI Muncy.

Many inmates must purchase basic hygiene and supplemental food items through the commissary using personal funds. Unfortunately, not all have money available due to limited work opportunities, lack of outside support, or financial obligations. Because of this, these bags are both needed and deeply appreciated.

As Scripture reminds us (Matthew 25:35–40; Hebrews 13:3), we are called to care for those in need, remembering that we are all saved by grace (Ephesians 2:8–9).

In preparation for Easter, we asked for 25–30 volunteers and were blessed with over 35, including many new faces. Volunteers assembled bags while hearing how God is transforming lives through Liberty Ministries. Pastor Charles Ness shared an update on Pastor Glenn Alderfer—please continue to pray for his healing.
